Wyn is youngest partner
Newport-based Harding Evans Solicitors has promoted associate Wyn Williams to the status of partner, as the firm continues its impressive growth.
Aged 29, Wyn, who hails from Aberaeron, becomes the youngest person to be made a partner in the practice, which serves both business and private clients from its headquarters in Newport city centre.
The University of Glamorgan graduate, who qualified in law with Anthony Jacobs and Co in Cardiff less than five years ago, will now play a leading role in the development of the firm's fast-growing conveyancing department.
The department, which employs more than 30 people, is one of Britain's busiest residential property teams. During 2007, Land Registry figures confirmed its status as one the UK's top 20 law firms for conveyancing transactions.
Since the introduction of Home Information Packs last summer, Harding Evans has prepared more than 300 packs in the Gwent area alone. This new source of work has been developed by Wyn through the strong local relationships with estate agents and good client communication.
Wyn said: "Despite the downturn in the housing market, this is a very exciting time for the department because we are continuing to expand by winning greater market share across the UK while still serving clients in the local South Wales area. I am really looking forward to this wider role in the team and the firm as a whole."
