AM opens call centre

Pulse Contact Services has officially opened its new call centre in Oakdale Business Park, Blackwood.

The centre was officially opened by Jeff Cuthbert AM on June 17 at a reception for clients, staff, suppliers and other invited guests who have been involved in establishing this exciting new venture.

The founders of the company have been involved in the call centre industry for more than 30 years, and have led industry award-winning initiatives in service, quality and business performance improvements in major corporate call centres with thousands of staff both in the UK and overseas.

Early last year Sean Cloake, the managing director, and Carole Bayliss, operations director, identified a gap in the market for a high-quality call centre with an emphasis on customer service and continuous process improvement for blue-chip clients.

After more than a year of planning, preparation and development, the new call centre opened with 20 staff working for its first client, Clear Communications Group, an Australian company undergoing a rapid roll-out of its telecomm services across Europe.

The company has signed a contract to start work for another blue-chip client shortly, doubling its workforce in the next two months and further expanding to around 100 staff in the first year.

The new centre has capacity for up to 200 staff and the company confidently expects to fill this within 18 months.

It has an option on a second building next door, bringing its total capacity on-site to 400 staff which the company hopes to fill within two years.
