Move means firm can move forward

One of South Wales' leading law firms, Rubin Lewis O'Brien, has moved to a limited liability partnership status to aid its future growth plans.

The Cwmbran and Cardiff-based firm, which employs 70 staff and offers the full range of legal services, is following a route favoured by many of the country's top law practices.

The move to switch from a traditional mode of a law firm partnership to a LLP will enable the business to move forward to meeting the growing needs of its private and commercial clients in the more challenging environment of the modern business world.

It is also considered the right move in terms of attracting the best legal recruits around.

Managing partner Jerome O'Brien said: "Not only does this move have positive implications for our clients as it provides a more robust and transparent structure, but it also allows us to continue to attract and retain the best people in our industry which will aid our growth plans.

"The move also proves that we're a progressive firm that doesn't rest on its laurels.

"While we continue to enjoy strong growth, we're committed to developing the firm, and the range and quality of the services available, further.

"This move is more important than ever for us. It represents the start of a new era for Rubin Lewis O'Brien in our ambition to be the best law firm in South Wales."
